Coast to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
Depart early from your beach hotel in Diani, Mombasa, or the North Coast and travel inland toward Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Along the drive, enjoy changing landscapes as the coast gradually opens into wildlife country.
Upon arrival, lunch is served before some time to relax ahead of an afternoon game drive through the sanctuary. This protected area is known for elephant herds, lions, zebras, giraffes, and a variety of plains game. As the sun lowers, continue wildlife viewing before heading to your overnight stay.
Dinner and overnight at Salt Lick Safari Lodge, a remarkable lodge built on stilts above waterholes, offering direct views of animals visiting throughout the evening.

Morning Safari and Return to the Coast
Begin the day with an early breakfast followed by a morning game drive for another opportunity to experience the sanctuary’s wildlife in cooler hours when animal movement is active.
Later in the morning, depart the sanctuary and begin the journey back toward the coast, with lunch served en route. Arrival in the afternoon includes drop-off at your beach hotel, marking the end of your short luxury safari.
